Affordable Housing Design

Marks Thomas has extensive experience in housing design ranging from net zero single-family homes, to affordable apartments, to assisted living facilities. We consider ourselves to be large enough to handle projects of any scale, yet small enough to maintain hands-on, principal involvement in every project we take on. We take pride in our reputation for innovative design and outstanding client service. Our breath of knowledge with affordable housing ranges from HUD and Maryland’s CDA funded projects in Baltimore City to total renovation or adaptive use projects. We demonstrate success in securing local government approvals and managing the requirements of any public hearings that might be required during the development process.

We are committed to a design process that assists our clients in achieving their vision while meeting schedules. We understand the importance of designing projects within budget and expertly deal with complications of existing conditions and discovery of unknowns during construction.
